If 2020 didn’t have enough going on, you can mark a huge asteroid flying past Earth off your catastrophe Bingo card.
Asteroid 2002 NN4 is about 820 to 1,870 feet in diameter. The Empire State Building is more than 1,400 feet tall.
The asteroid isn’t alone.
Scientists at the Center for Near Earth Object Studies said about 10 different things will fly close to Earth over the next few days.
The asteroid is traveling at more than 20,000 mph but it will stay about 3 million miles away, or 13 times farther away from us than the moon, USA Today reported.
NASA has developed a widget for those who want to keep track of what’s zooming in the sky above the planet.
