According to E! Online, Osbourne, 73, had a Black Sabbath reunion with guitarist Tony Iommi along with other former band members who played on the 1970s hit song, “Paranoid.”

Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games shared a video of Osbourne’s performance on Instagram which was part of their closing ceremony.

Good Morning America said that Monday’s performance was the first time Osbourne and Iommi performed together since the Black Sabbath farewell show back in 2017.

It was also the first time Osbourne has performed on stage live since the 2019 American Music Awards, according to GMA. He was originally supposed to go on tour in 2019 but postponed it to early 2020 because of health issues. GMA said the tour was postponed again after he fell and needed surgery in addition to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Back in June 2022, Osbourne’s wife, Sharon, shared that he was having a “very major operation” which could help “determine the rest of his life,” according to GMA.

E! Online said Osbourne’s performance was his first in a while but it wasn’t his first public appearance. He was at Comic-Con in San Diego, California last month.

According to GMA, Osbourne and Iommi will be reuniting again for two new tracks on Osbourne’s upcoming solo album, “Patient Number 9,″ which is expected to be released on September 9.
