Pink, daughter Willow mesmerize 2021 Billboard Music Awards with aerial duet

LOS ANGELES — Pink fans are no strangers to the acrobatics and aerial silks sprinkled throughout her theatric performances, but they got a little something extra during Sunday night’s 2021 Billboard Music Awards.

Willow Sage Hart, the megastar’s 9-year-old daughter, joined her mother for a high-flying performance of their song, “Cover Me in Sunshine,” during a medley of Pink’s greatest hits during the live broadcast from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, Today reported.

The mother-daughter duo performed the acrobatics routine as they sang the song they penned together earlier this year and danced in front of a full-moon backdrop, Us Weekly reported.

The acrobatic display mesmerized viewers and social media followers, alike.

Although Willow exited the stage following her performance while the medley continued, Pink championed her daughter’s talent while accepting the Icon Award later in the show.

“Willow nailed it!” the 41-year-old singer said.

Introduced in 2011, the Icon Award has previously been awarded to such stars as Garth Brooks, Cher, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez, Us Weekly reported.

“As a little girl, I always dreamed about being a singer and sharing my love of music with the world,” Pink told Billboard on May 4. “Years later, to receive the Billboard Music Awards Icon Award is hard to fathom!”
