According to People magazine and E! News, Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber posed together publicly for the first time Saturday at the second annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles, quelling rumors of a rift between the “Lose You to Love Me” singer and the 25-year-old model.

“Plot twist,” celebrity photographer Tyrell Hampton captioned an Instagram photo of the pair embracing.

The shot quickly went viral, racking up more than 1.1 million likes by Monday morning.

The moment came weeks after Bieber, who is married to Gomez’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, denied in an interview on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast that there was any bad blood between the two women, according to the entertainment outlets.

“There’s no drama, personally,” Bieber said during the interview, adding that she has “a lot” of respect for Gomez, 30.

Bieber, who has faced criticism from Gomez’s fans, also said she never interfered with Gomez’s relationship with Justin Bieber, the outlets reported.

“I can say – period, point blank – I was never with him when he was in a relationship with anybody,” Bieber said during the podcast. “That’s the end of it.”

Gomez recently took to TikTok Live to encourage her fans to be kind and condemned “vile and disgusting” comments.

“It’s not fair because no one ever should be spoken to in the manner that I’ve seen,” Gomez said, according to People.
