There were rumblings that he was going to play Astaire but when his GQ profile was published last month, it was just a rumor.

Producer Amy Pascal had said she would like to have Holland in the role, CNN reported.

But during a photocall for “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” he told a reporter from The Associated Press that he is indeed strapping on dancing shoes and that a script is in the hands of Pascal.

Adding dancing to his on-screen role won’t be out of the ordinary for Holland, who appeared in “Billy Elliott: The Musical” thanks to acrobatics and street dancing, The Los Angeles Times reported.

Before he taps and waltzes across the dance floor, Holland will first appear in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” on Dec. 17, which is the third “Spider-Man” film produced by Pascal. He also appeared as the web-slinger in three “Avengers” movies directed by Joe and Anthony Russo.
