Nancy Kerr, who runs KC Weddings 2 Go, will marry 15 couples in Tampa, Florida, on Feb. 7, hours before the Kansas City Chiefs face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV, KMBC reported.

“I am a mobile wedding service,” Kerr told KMBC. “No matter where you are, anyplace, anytime, anywhere.”

Kerr. who is driving 17 hours from Independence to perform the ceremonies, chose 15 to honor the uniform number worn by Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

“I would love to marry Patrick and Brittany (Matthews),” Kerr told KMBC. “That would finish off my bucket list.”

One item already crossed off Kerr’s bucket list was being chosen for a Super Bowl commercial two years ago by Head and Shoulders, the television station reported. The company chose her for being “headstrong.”

When Kerr says she will perform weddings anywhere, she is not kidding. She said she has even married couples in an airplane.

“They jump out. I don’t,” Kerr told KMBC.

Kerr began KC Weddings 2 Go with fellow pastors Jane Peters and Meg Gober. For those who prefer less mobile weddings, the business marries couples at the company chapel, located across the street from the Truman Courthouse in Independence.

According to the website, ceremonies are customized and can be performed anywhere.

“It can be formal, informal or a themed wedding,” Kerr said. “I can perform your ceremony in Spanish. The ceremonies can be performed anywhere, including Powell Gardens, The Rose Garden at Loose Park, your parents’ backyard, the Renaissance Festival, on your horses in the Flint Hills of Kansas, any park, (your) favorite BBQ joint, pontoon boat in the middle of your favorite lake, or a motorcycle rally.”

Or, 1,200 miles away, at the site of the Super Bowl.

Kerr told KMBC that she is willing to make that drive because it’s all for love.

“It usually has to do with friendship and the bond that the two of them have, so that’s my favorite part,” Kerr said.
