Two Arrested In Marijuana Grow House Bust

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla.,None — Orange County narcotics deputies arrested two people in connection to a marijuana grow house on Sunday morning in east Orange County.

Both the suspects, Carlos Baez and Diana Berrios, bonded out of the Orange County Jail overnight. They're accused of growing marijuana.

WFTV was there as investigators removed dozens of marijuana plants, lights, and other equipment from the home located at the 8000 block of Havasu Drive, near Curry Ford Road and Chickasaw Trail.

Deputies said the home was under investigation for allegedly being used for drug activity. Narcotics investigators entered the home around 9:30am Sunday with a search warrant.

Officials said the three bedroom home had roughly 150 marijuana plants inside, each around 5 feet tall.

The couple allegedly rigged the meter box to get electricity to power industrial sized air conditioning units and special lights for the plants.

The value of the marijuana plants in the home is estimated at around $300,000, according to deputies.
