Two Volusia County Fair members awarded honorary FFA degrees

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Volusia County Fair Association Board President, Billy Jones and Administrative Assistant Darla Borders received their State of Florida Honorary FFA Degrees at a ceremony July 3, 2014 at the Seventh General Session of the 86th Florida FFA State Convention & Expo.  The Convention was held at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida.

“The Honorary State Degree is the highest honorary award presented by our state organization.  Its purpose is to recognize those individuals who greatly contribute to the advancement of the agricultural education and provide outstanding service to the FFA program.” This is taken from the letter received by the recipients and signed by Ronnie Simmons, Executive Director of the Florida FFA Association and Megan Stein State President Florida FFA Association.
