Orlando, FL,None — Join WRDQ 27 Community Connection for the American Heart Association's National Wear Red Day on Friday, February 3rd.
Heart disease is the number one killer of women, and can lead to stroke or heart attack if not taken care of properly. Since February is National Heart Month, the Association's Go Red for Women initiative plans to spread awareness and knowledge of the disease that takes the lives of almost 500,000 women each year. Heart disease isn't something to be taken lightly, and this initiative was created so that women can start working today towards a healthier heart tomorrow. Go red for women on National Wear Red Day, where women from all over the country are called to wear red and embrace their hearts. You can get involved by wearing red on February 3rd, donating to the American Heart Association's website, or organizing your own Go Red for Women event.
Educate yourself and be mindful of the potential risk factors of heart disease, so that someday soon big hearts will outshine this big disease. For full details and how to get involved, visit www.goredforwomen.org/wearredday/
