Where to eat Christmas Day in Orlando

If you are ready for a break after the hustle and bustle of preparing for the holidays, there are several places around Orlando that you can enjoy a dinner on Christmas Day.

Columbia Restaurant

The Columbia Restaurant’s opened over a hundred years ago in Tampa’s Ybor City, and you can enjoy their menu of Spanish/Cuban Cuisine on Front Street in Celebration. On Christmas Day, they offer a full menu in addition to holiday specials. The restaurant’s dress code is casual, but men must wear shirts with sleeves. Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine

Bosphorous is a family-owned business, established in 2004, that is located in Winter Park, Dr. Phillips, Lake Nona and Winter Garden. The menu features Turkish cuisine with a variety of fresh salads, hand-carved Halal meats, made to order breads and pies. They refer to their dress code as ‘polished casual, but the atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and inviting. Reservations are strongly suggested and are available online. Afiyet Olsun!

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, located on International Drive, is a powerhouse of delicious food and beverages with two bars, five private dining rooms, a patio and a modern dining room. The restaurant also features a diverse wine list of more than 1200 labels. Dress is business casual with diners being asked to not wear tank tops, sleeveless shirts, hats, flip-flops, gym wear, excessively revealing or torn clothing, or short shorts. Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse is open from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Day, and reservations are available online.

Chroma Modern Bar + Kitchen

Chroma Modern Bar + Kitchen has become a cornerstone of cuisine in Lake Nona with a menu of small plates, local and craft beers, specialty cocktails and fine wines. You can enjoy a meal from the menu with holiday specials inside the vibrant restaurant with a visible kitchen or outside on the covered patio. Chroma does not have a dress code, and reservations are suggested as it is a cozy restaurant.

Roy’s Orlando

Master Chef Roy Yamaguchi, James Beard Award winner, opened the first Roy’s in 1988 on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, and in Orlando on Christmas Day, you can celebrate with an exclusive Christmas menu featuring a three-course Holiday Menu featuring Slow-Roasted Chateaubriand with Wild Mushroom Port Wine Pan Sauce. The dress for Roy’s Orlando is business or resort casual, and reservations are recommended and are available online.

Café Tu Tu Tango

Started after friends returned from a trip to Barcelona, Spain, in 1991, Café Tu Tu Tango offers a Spanish inspired menu with a lively atmosphere often featuring live artists and performers. For Christmas Day, guests can enjoy the full menu and holiday specials including Short Rib Empanadas and Red Velvet Flancocho. Café Tu Tu Tango is a relaxed atmosphere, but you will want to make reservations for this busy day.

Gyu-Kaku

Gyu-Kaku is a Japanese BBQ (yakiniku) restaurant where diners grill their orders at the table for a unique dining experience in the Dr. Phillips area. On Christmas Day Gyu-Kaku is open from 11:30 a.m. until midnight with Happy Hour specials from 3 p.m. to 5.pm. Reservations are not required, but can be made online in advance to cut down your wait.

Grand Bohemian Hotel

The Grand Bohemian is one of Orlando’s most unique spots with bold decorations, and Christmas Day there are two dining options to choose from. The Christmas Day Grand Buffet is available from 10 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Grand Bohemian Hotel’s fifth-floor ballroom with diverse offerings, complimentary mimosas, as well as a crepe station. While The Boheme restaurant is offering a four-course Christmas Dinner from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. served with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. Reservations for the Christmas Day Grand Buffet and Christmas Dinner are available online and are strongly suggested.
