Live radar: Thunderstorms to linger through the evening commute

ORLANDO, Fla. — Thunderstorms are moving through metro Orlando on Wednesday afternoon and will continue to linger into the early evening, affecting your drive home from work.

Isolated storms will continue until about 8 p.m., especially around Orlando and areas west of it.

“As expected, our sea breeze is more active this afternoon, and we’ll be tracking some lightning storms through the early evening,” chief meteorologist Tom Terry said. “Drier air is poised to move in, though.”

A drier change to the rain pattern is expected for Thursday and Friday.

In the tropics, things remain quiet as Saharan dust is preventing storms from developing in the area.
