With the hurricane season upon us, its important for our community to be prepared in case of an emergency. One way we can make sure Central Florida is prepared is to donate blood. We hope youll join us.
A proper blood supply is crucial to our community-especially during a disaster or emergency. Each year we partner with Floridas Blood Centers (FBC), a not-for-profit health-care organization that has been serving our community for more than 65 years. Their lifesaving mission of collecting, processing and distributing blood to those in need has a direct and immediate impact on our communitys health and welfare. To fulfill that mission, they employ 1,000 professionals in 21 counties serving more than 70 hospitals and medical facilities throughout the state.
