Actor Richard Gere spotted waving magic wand at Universal Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. — On Mar. 8, 2014, Golden Globe award-winning actor Richard Gere visited Ollivanders wand shop at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade at Universal Orlando Resort. During his hosted visit, Gere visited the premier wand shop and experienced the wonder of the wand choosing him. Gere is best known for his roles in such blockbuster films as "Chicago," "Pretty Woman" and "An Officer and a Gentleman."

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade – located at Universal's Islands of Adventure – opened in 2010 and is home to Hogsmeade village and the iconic Hogwarts castle, which houses the groundbreaking Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey attraction. This summer, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley will open at Universal Studios Florida, bringing even more of Harry Potter's adventures to life.
