Deputies said it started in Cape Canaveral along A1A when Amber Lynn Williams, from Satellite Beach, allegedly hit a pedestrian. Authorities said that person is expected to be OK.

But Williams continued to flee even after deputies tried to pull her over on State Road 528.

Deputies said she drove like she was drunk during the chase.

They said they threw out stop sticks twice before Williams tried to exit onto the International Corporate Parkway Boulevard when she lost control and missed the exit ramp and went right off the edge of the road and crashed along State Road 528 just over the Orange County line.

Deputies said her car tumbled over an embankment and came to a stop upside down.

Williams was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center after she was extricated from the vehicle. FHP said she suffered serious injuries.

The chase had lasted about 20 miles by the time she came to a stop.

Williams has a suspended learner's permit, according to FHP. Troopers are awaiting results from a sobriety test.

The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending. She will likely be charged with DUI, aggravated fleeing and eluding and hit-and-run.

In January, Williams was arrested in Orlando on charges of resisting arrest.
