TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Gov. Ron DeSantis will provide an update as Tropical Storm Nicole moves through Florida on Thursday.

DeSantis is set to speak at 10:30 a.m. from State Emergency Operations Center in Tallahassee.

NICOLE LIVE UPDATES: Tropical Storm Nicole brings storm surge flooding to Brevard, Volusia counties

The governor will be joined by Florida Division of Emergency Management Director Kevin Guthrie.

DeSantis has been providing updates on the state’s response to Nicole.

Nicole made landfall as a Category 1 hurricane around 3 a.m. near Vero Beach.

Powerful storm surges and power outages have been seen throughout Thursday morning.
