Officials said the cement truck flipped over as it was was exiting SR-408 at the Good Holmes Road exit. Rescue crews arrived on scene and had to cut the driver out of the vehicle, because he was trapped underneath the steering wheel.

The driver, whose name has not been released, was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. Officials said he is expected to be OK.

SR-408 is open, but the on- and off-ramp at Exit 2 (Good Homes Road) is closed as crews try to get the truck upright. A tow truck is on scene. There haven't been any major delays because of the exit closure.

"He's going way too fast for being a construction truck, for that to go over like that. Especially a concrete truck. You know, it's got to have a full bed of concrete in it," driver Paul Jackson said.

The FHP is investigating.
