$1 million winning Powerball ticket sold in Florida

MIAMI, Fla. — While the lucky $700 million winning Powerball ticket was sold on the opposite side of the country, one lucky ticket buyer in Florida did score a $1 million jackpot.

According to the lottery’s website, one ticket sold in Morro Bay, California, matched all six numbers — 12, 22, 54, 66, 69 and Powerball 15 — in Monday night’s drawing to win the massive $699.8 million top prize.

The jackpot was Powerball’s fifth-largest and the seventh-largest for any lottery in the United States, the website said.

One ticket sold in Tennessee matched five numbers and included the optional Power Play to win the second prize of $2 million, the lottery said. Five other tickets — including two sold in Massachusetts and one each in Arizona, Florida and Virginia — also matched five numbers to win $1 million prizes.
