SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A 19-year-old man is dead after a vehicle struck a tree in Seminole County Tuesday evening.
It happened around 10:30 p.m. in the area of Country Club Road and Continental Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Officials said the 21-year-old driver of a 2018 BMW was traveling northbound on Country Club Road before losing control of the vehicle on a curve in the roadway.

The vehicle then struck a tree, splitting the BMW into two pieces.
Officials said a 19-year-old passenger died on the scene. The driver was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. A second passenger, a 16-year-old girl, suffered minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
