PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — Investigators are checking comments made by Misty Croslin that could offer new clues into what happened to Haleigh Cummings. Croslin talked about Haleigh Tuesday, after a court hearing on unrelated drug charges.
Misty Croslin said her cousin, Joe Overstreet, stuffed Haleigh into a garbage bag and took off after he couldn't find a gun belonging to Haleigh's father.

But Haliegh's grandmother says she thinks Misty is making up the whole thing.
"I don't believe anything that Misty says. She's told so many stories and then, to just pick and choose which one you want to believe, I don't think that's right and I believe that, whatever it is, it needs to be proven," said Teresa Neves, Haleigh's grandmother.
The new allegations came as Haleigh's family and friends gathered in Palatka to mark her seventh birthday Tuesday.
So far, Overstreet has not been named a suspect in the case.
