OCALA, Fla. — Three people were killed and two teenagers are in critical condition after an SUV crashed in the Ocala National Forest Saturday night, authorities said.
The crash was reported just before 9 a.m. Sunday, when the Ford Expedition was found on its side.
When rescuers arrived, they found all five occupants had been ejected from the SUV.
A 40-year-old woman, a 40-year-old man and a 14-year-old girl were pronounced dead on scene by paramedics.
A 16-year-old girl and another 14-year-old girl were flown to hospitals in critical condition.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation by Florida Highway Patrol.
The victims have not been identified.
