ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A 6-year-old boy died Saturday after being found submerged in a body of water in Orange County. Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 12700 block of Research Parkway at approximately 3:25 pm following a report of a missing child.
Upon arriving at the location, deputies searched the surrounding area to locate the boy.
Officers spotted the child underwater nearby, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
This remains an active investigation.
