Residents said there had been an ongoing issue between Turell and the suspected gunman, Carroll Bryan, 40.

Witnesses said the two got into an altercation and Bryan chased Turell down Powers Drive while firing shots.
Deputies said Turell collapsed on Balboa Drive and Hinkley Avenue where Bryan fired more shots into Turell.
Deputies said that Turell's brother was also shot at about 1:30 a.m. Monday at his home on Avery Street in Orlando.
Authorities said Turell's brother checked himself into the hospital with a gunshot wound. His injuries are not life-threatening, deputies said.
Deputies said the brother's shooting appeared to stem from the earlier shooting incident.
Residents believed that Bryan was hiding in his parent's home at one point. Deputies said that around 2:30 a.m. Monday, Bryan's parent's home was trashed. Bryan's parents were not home at the time.
Bryan was later found at the Seminole Ridge apartments on Silver Star Road, where he was arrested.
Bryan was charged with first-degree murder and taken to the Orange County Jail without bail.
