TITUSVILLE, Fla. — Titusville police are looking for a man suspected in an attempted armed robbery and aggravated battery of a store clerk in Titusville.

The incident occurred Saturday evening at the Dollar Tree on Cheney Highway.

According to police, the suspect entered the store, and followed the clerk into the business office and demanded the clerk open the safe at gun point.

The suspect fired a bullet into the floor and then hit the store clerk with the gun before fleeing the scene in a car on Sisson Road.

The suspect is a Black male in his 20s, approximately 5′ 10″ with shoulder length dread style brown hair, police said.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
