Police: Man shot, found lying outside stranger’s home, suspect at large

ROCKLEDGE, Fla. — The Rockledge Police Department said it is working to track down a suspect after a man was shot and left lying outside a stranger’s home Friday morning.

Around 11:14 a.m., police said a woman called 911 after she found a man who appeared to be shot outside her house on Georgia Avenue.

Police said when they arrived they found Tyler Tyrone Chapple Jr., 28, with at least one gunshot wound to the chest.

Chapple was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Police have not said if anyone has been arrested in connection with the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.
