ORLANDO, Fla. — CareerSource Central Florida will host its annual Paychecks for Patriots job fair Tuesday, Nov. 10, in Orlando, connecting veterans, transitioning service members, military spouses and other job seekers with more than 20 local employers.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Orange Technical College, Building 1600, at 2900 West Oak Ridge Road. Although the job fair is held in honor of veterans and military service members, it is open to all job seekers.
More than 20 Central Florida employers hiring
Participating employers include Rosen Hotels and Resorts, the City of Orlando, JPMorgan Chase, Lynx Transportation, Massey Services, The Walt Disney Company, Trustco Bank, Valencia College and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Veterans from Lake, Osceola, Orange, Seminole and Sumter counties are invited to attend, whether they are looking for their next job or transitioning to civilian life.
Job seekers are encouraged to bring multiple physical copies of their resumes and arrive prepared for networking and on-site interviews.
Connecting veterans with civilian careers
CareerSource Central Florida works to help veterans translate skills, experience and leadership qualities gained through military service into civilian careers while connecting employers with experienced workers.
The job fair will also highlight community support programs available to veterans and their families.
