Convicted killer withdraws motion to withdraw guilty plea

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A convicted Brevard County killer is headed back to prison after withdrawing a motion to withdraw his guilty plea.

Leon Foster Jr., 43, was sentenced to three life sentences in the July 2013 stabbing death of his girlfriend, Mykeba Clark.

Foster avoided trial by accepting a plea deal weeks after the murder.

In the motion Foster said his plea was not knowingly and voluntarily entered. The motion also said he was under mental health treatment and was previously diagnosed with manic depression and bipolar disorder and had not taken his medication for 30 days prior to Clark's death.
