ORLANDO, Fla. — Brevard County and much of Central Florida will be mostly dry on Thursday, with warm, muggy conditions sticking around before a cold front brings a welcome change this weekend.
Skies will be partly cloudy, with afternoon highs reaching the mid-80s.
However, humidity will make it feel closer to the 90-degree mark in some areas.
A front is expected to move through Central Florida over the weekend, but it is forecast to remain mostly dry, keeping rain chances low through the weekend.
The biggest change will be the arrival of slightly cooler and less humid air.
By Sunday morning, temperatures are expected to dip into the 50s and low 60s, offering a refreshing break from the recent humidity.
Afternoon highs Sunday will climb into the 70s and low 80s, making for more comfortable outdoor conditions across the region.
Rain chances will gradually return next week.
Onshore coastal showers are possible Monday, followed by another storm complex that could bring additional rain Wednesday and Thursday.
Despite the generally dry forecast, flooding will continue along the St. Johns River through the weekend and into next week.
Residents living near the river and in flood-prone areas should continue monitoring water levels and follow any local flood advisories.
For now, Central Florida can expect a stretch of mostly dry weather, with cooler temperatures and lower humidity providing some relief heading into Sunday.
