HAINES CITY, Fla.,None — A crash involving seven vehicles has shutdown northbound U.S. Highway 27 at Massey Road, according to the Haines City Police Department.
Police said six vehicles were stopped at a red light when the driver of a Honda SUV failed to stop for the red light and hit one of the stopped vehicles, causing a chain reaction crash.
Traffic is being re-routed eastbound on County Road 547 to Massey Road back onto northbound Highway 27.
Four people were transported to Heart of Florida Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Traffic on Highway 27 is expected to be reopened in approximately 40 minutes.
