CVS to close store in popular downtown Orlando neighborhood; here’s why

A CVS Pharmacy in the heart of Orlando’s College Park neighborhood will close soon — and, in doing so, create a prime leasing opportunity in a popular retail district.

Matt Blanchette, a senior manager for retail communications for Woonsocket, Rhode Island-based CVS Pharmacy, confirmed to Orlando Business Journal via email that the store at 2201 Edgewater Drive will close May 22.

A second Orlando CVS Pharmacy, at 13300 E. Colonial Drive, also closed April 12, Blanchette further confirmed.
