DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Authorities said they found a family in Kissimmee, who was being sought, following an investigation by the Department of Children and Families.
Last month, the agency found the couple and their two young children living in deplorable conditions in Daytona Beach.
George McCurdy III, 35, and Angel Taylor, 36, have been uncooperative in the past with the state's child welfare agency.
DCF had plans to take the children away from the parents due to health and safety concerns in the home.
According to a police report, the apartment was filthy with mold, mildew and human and animal feces.
Apartment workers evicted the family by putting a seven-day notice on their door, but they never got a response from the family.
A Daytona Beach police report said a DCF employee reported the family missing on May 29.
The children, Alyssa McCurdy, 5, and Chloe McCurdy, 4, will remain with their parents.
So far, no charges have been filed.
