DELTONA, Fla. — Two people were found dead inside a Deltona home Monday in what appeared to be a murder-suicide, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said.
Jonathan Jeanniton, 29, and Akeyla McCoy, 23, were found dead in a home on Providence Boulevard after deputies said someone made a "frantic" 911 call at 1:56 p.m. to report a shooting.
“The caller did give the address and mention something about a shooting,” said Gary Davidson of the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said when they got to the house two minutes after the call, they found two young children inside, unharmed.
According to a release from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, “Preliminary information at the scene indicates that the deaths may be the result of a murder-suicide.”
A gun was found inside the bedroom where Jeanniton’s and McCoy’s bodies were found.
Neighbors said they heard a lot of commotion before the gunfire.

One resident, who asked not to be identified, said he heard a woman screaming moments before the gunshot.
The neighbor said he also saw the couple’s two young children standing by the window.
“We heard them arguing at first. We heard a young lady screaming,” said the resident. “I heard her screaming and I heard a shot.”
The children are with relatives.
Investigators spent the night removing bags of evidence from the home.
Deputies are still working to find out what led to the fight.
