Surveillance, composite sketch released of Aldi robbery suspect

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Osceola County deputies have released a composite sketch and surveillance video of an armed man who they said robbed an Aldi grocery store.

The robbery happened at about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Aldi store on Buenaventura Boulevard in Kissimmee.

According to investigators, the man was initially complaining about a food purchase from the previous day. The man then handed a note to the manager that said he had accomplices in the store and demanded cash. The suspect showed the manager that he was armed with a gun, deputies said.

The man got away with an unknown amount of cash and might have fled in a white van, according to deputies. He's described as a Hispanic man in his mid-30s, who is around 5 feet 5 inches tall with a wide nose. He has a thin beard line and thin goatee. Deputies said at the time of the robbery he was wearing a camouflage jacket, khaki pants and black sneakers.

Officials said no one was injured during the incident.
