Disney Jollywood Nights returns to Hollywood Studios with new characters

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Disney’s Hollywood Studios is getting ready to put on the glitz, glamour and plenty of holiday sparkle for the return of Disney Jollywood Nights.

The separately ticketed holiday event will run on select nights from Nov. 7 through Jan. 5, marking the first time Jollywood Nights will extend into January. Guests can enter as early as 5:30 p.m., with festivities running from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

New this year is the Checkin’ It Twice Lounge, featuring specialty drinks, a live DJ and entertainment in Animation Courtyard.

There will also be some monstrously merry new faces. “Monsters, Inc.” characters George Sanderson and Needleman will make their first appearances at the event, joining returning character Mike Wazowski.

The “Glisten!” skating show will return in front of the Chinese Theater, with Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Genie joining the production for the first time.

Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy will host “Disney Holidays in Hollywood,” while Jack Skellington will bring a little spooky spirit to Christmas during “The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along.”

Guests can also meet a long list of characters, including Stitch dressed as Santa, Max Goof as Powerline, Phineas and Ferb, The Mandalorian and Grogu, Chewbacca celebrating Life Day and Bing Bong.

And the night will end with a bang: “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” will return with fireworks, lasers, projections, holiday music and “snowfall” along Hollywood Boulevard.
