Disney Springs reveals sneak peek of new shops, restaurants

ORLANDO, Fla. — Channel 9 took a sneak peek behind the construction wall of Town Center, the final neighborhood in Disney Springs.

More than 30 new tenants will be a part of Disney Springs, including retails shops and three restaurants.

“It is fantastic. Yeah, I was really impressed a lot of great choices,” said visitor Melissa Bernard.

The area was designed around an old Florida springs town.

“Oh, it's overwhelming. We're not from this area and we only got to see a fraction of it we have run out of time.” visitor Ryan Bernard said.

Town Center is just days away from being unveiled to visitors.

“It's immersive. It tells a story when you're here. Plus, it's got great retail. It's got great views,” said VP pf creative portfolio executive Theron Skees.

“About 50 percent of the venues will open at that time, and then the remaining will open throughout summer,” Disney marketing strategy manager Sara Lamason said. You will find brands that you will find elsewhere in central Florida, but the experience here will be different that Disney difference."

Park officials also showcased the new Cirque de Soleil acts at Disney Springs.
