Disney thrill ride to temporarily close for refurbishment following brief delay

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — A classic Walt Disney World thrill ride is set to temporarily close this week for refurbishment.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, will now close on Tuesday, a day later than Disney previously announced.

The ride will reopen in the summer, according to Disney’s website.

The “rocktastic” attraction is Disney World’s first and, so far, only looping roller coaster with three inversions.

On the ride, guests blast off and race through darkened freeways of Los Angeles in a super-stretch limo to the tunes of Aerosmith in the hopes of getting to his concert on time.
