ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Disney officials welcomed a second baby gorilla in a month in the family of western lowland gorillas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The animals are considered endangered.
The baby gorilla, who was born Sept. 3, joins another male gorilla born Aug. 7.
This is the fifth gorilla born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom as part of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Species Survival Plan.
The baby gorilla will live in the wooded sanctuary of the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
