Dry start to Saturday, with slow-moving storms hitting later this evening

ORLANDO, Fla. — Saturday is going to be quite hot with daytime highs reaching the mid-90s.

The heat index value will hit between 100 and 108 degrees.

Most of us will see drier weather on Saturday, with heavy rain and storm coverage lowered significantly.

Areas along Interstate 4 and to the west will still have a good chance for afternoon and evening showers and storms.

They will be slow moving and will bring the potential for heavy rain and possible urban flooding.

We are watching a potential tropical cyclone churning in the Southern Gulf.

Tropical storm warnings have been issued for parts of Mexico and the South Texas coastline.

Areas such as Brownsville and Laredo may see some heavy rain over the next 36 hours as the potential tropical cyclone moves toward the northwest.
