Early voting yields low turnout as Election Day draws near

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Early voting has wrapped up across Central Florida, and local counties are turning their eyes toward Election Day on Tuesday.


However, election officials aren’t expecting a huge rush. They’re not ruling out lines at various points throughout the day

Early turnout at sites across the region was much lower than they had hoped for, and it could mean a disappointing turnout overall.

Data shows Seminole County is down by about 15,000 votes compared to this time in 2018. Orange County is down about 30,000.
