SANFORD, Fla. — The Sanford Police Department has confirmed the total number of victims in the Saturday night shooting has increased to eight.
They have not identified any suspects at this time.
This is still an active investigation.

UPDATE (9/19/26 11:45 PM)
The Sanford Police Department confirms six victims were shot on Poplar Avenue and Ninth Street.
Two of the victims are in critical condition.
According to Sanford Police PIO Officer Nicole Brown, there was some sort of social gathering Saturday evening where the shooting took place.
Officer Brown tells Channel 9 she is unsure if there was one or multiple shooters, but confirms this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.
