Family of man gunned down in Orlando pleads for public's help to find killer

ORLANDO, Fla. — The family of a man gunned down in Orlando is begging for witnesses to come forward to help find his killer.

Anthony Ward was killed last Saturday morning at the Governor's Manor complex onLB McLeod Road.

A resident at the apartments found him unresponsive on the ground outside the Governor's Manor apartments and called police.

The shooting happened sometime before 3 a.m. When medics arrived they said 29-year-old Ward had been shot to death.

WFTV found out detectives don't have much to go on to solve this case.

As 13-year-old Titandre Teague held a picture of her father in her hands she told WFTV "All I want is for justice to be served for my daddy."

"I loved him very much. He'll be truly missed. It's a like a part of me has been taken out of me," said Ward's sister, Andrea Ward.

Ward's distraught family believes their only hope is a tip from the community.

"All I want is for you to help us. Help our family and give us answers, please," said Teague.

"All we need is closure. If I have closure, I'll be alright," said Ward's mother, Alice Laguerre.

Police said this is Orlando's 15th murder of the year.

There is a $5,000 reward offered through Crimeline for anyone with information leading to an arrest.
