FHP: Orlando woman, 60, killed in hit-and-run crash

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for the driver of a sedan who hit and killed a 60-year-old woman Friday night before leaving the scene.

Troopers say the victim was attempting to cross Hiawassee Rd. near Watseka Ave. just after 7:30 p.m. when she was struck by the front portion of a car.

The unknown vehicle, described only as a four-door sedan, was described as leaving the scene headed south on Hiawassee Rd.

The victim was taken to Advent Hospital in Apopka and later died there. She’s only been identified as a 60-year-old woman from Orlando.
