FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. — A carjacking suspect who reportedly fled from Ormond Beach into Flagler County was apprehended Saturday. Deputies utilized Stop Sticks, along with help from a drone team, helicopter, and K-9 Unit, to find him, as stated by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to assist after the suspect reportedly fled into Flagler County while armed with a knife. A woman and children were also reportedly inside the vehicle.

Officers found that the driver had abandoned the vehicle near Wendy’s on Old Kings Road, where deputies rescued the woman and children.

Authorities identified the suspect as Lee Miller, 31.

Miller is charged in Flagler County with fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement and child neglect. He also faces charges in Ormond Beach, according to deputies.

The woman who initially told deputies she was a victim is also believed to have been involved in the carjacking, officials said. The investigation remains ongoing.

“There’s nowhere you can hide from FCSO, and he just ended up caught and sweaty from all the running he did,” Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly said.
