TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Gov. Ron DeSantis has directed that U.S. and Florida flags be flown at half-staff in Flagler Beach on Saturday to honor former Mayor Alice M. Baker.
According to a memorandum issued Friday, flags will be lowered from sunrise to sunset Sept. 26 at all local and state buildings, installations, and grounds throughout the City of Flagler Beach.
The order also directs that flags at the State Capitol in Tallahassee be flown at half-staff during the same period.
Baker served as mayor of Flagler Beach and is being honored for her service to the community.
