ORLANDO, Fla. — Another round of heavy rain is soaking Central Florida this morning after record-breaking rainfall drenched parts of the region on Monday.
Widespread rain is moving across the area, with the heaviest downpours focused on Brevard County.
Two separate Flash Flood Warnings have been issued, with one in effect until 7:45 a.m. and the other until 8 a.m.
Some Brevard County communities could pick up an additional 2 to 3 inches of rain this morning, increasing the potential for dangerous flooding.
A Flood Watch is also in effect for nearly all of Central Florida through 7 p.m. due to the threat of additional heavy rainfall.
Rain is expected to remain widespread through much of the morning and gradually become more scattered later Monday afternoon. Temperatures will stay relatively cool, with highs in the 70s.
Scattered showers will remain possible overnight and into Tuesday morning.
With already saturated areas facing another round of heavy rainfall, residents should remain alert for changing conditions, avoid driving through flooded roadways and monitor local weather alerts.
