Florida Panthers sweep Carolina Hurricanes, to enter first Stanley Cup Finals in 27 years

SUNRISE, Fla. — Some Florida hockey fans have reason to celebrate Thursday morning.

The Florida Panthers are heading to the Stanley Cup Finals.

With the game tied at three, and just four seconds left on the clock, the Panthers scored, sweeping the series against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Florida will face either the Dallas Stars or Vegas Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup Finals next month.

The last time the Florida Panthers were in the Stanley Cup Finals was in 1996.
