Florida reports 106 coronavirus-related deaths, more than 4K new cases added

ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida reported a total of 4,311 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday and 106 additional deaths statewide.

A total of 30,324 negative test results were added, keeping the state’s positivity rate below 10%.

Central Florida reported 29 new COVID-19 deaths, including 13 in Marion County. Five deaths were reported in Polk County, three in Orange County, two in Osceola, Volusia and Lake counties, one in both Seminole and Brevard counties.

No new COVOID-19 deaths were reported in Flagler or Sumter counties.

The number of confirmed cases throughout Florida now stands at 597,597, since testing began earlier this year.
