OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Four people were arrested and face multiple charges in connection with the armed robbery of an Osceola County Denny’s early Monday.

The robbery happened at about 2:48 a.m. when two people entered the restaurant, implied they had a weapon and ordered employees to hand over their money, an Osceola County Sheriff’s Office release said.

After robbing the employees, the two suspects then robbed several customers, taking their money and cellphones, the release said.

The two suspects were identified as Desiree McAlister, 25, and Rolondo Gil-Gomez, 42.

As they were leaving, the pair allegedly tried to force one of the employees into their car. The employee was able to escape.

Deputies in the area responded to the Poinciana restaurant and caught the suspects’ car as it was leaving the parking lot.

Along with McAlister and Gil-Gomez, two other people were in the car, Jorge and Angela Ruiz, 29 and 25 respectively.

All four cooperated with investigators and were each charged with five counts of armed robbery, five counts of aggravated assault and five counts of grand theft.

Ruiz and Gil-Gomez were also charged with kidnapping and McAlister was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and battery on a law enforcement officer.
