Four dead after small plane crash in Williston

WILLISTON, Fla. — Four people are dead after a small plane crashed at the Williston airport Sunday afternoon, according to the Williston Police Department.

The 1948 Cessna 170 “tail digger” crashed at 1:12 p.m. along the tree line on the north side of the east taxiway of the airport.

First responders checked the wreckage and found all four passengers deceased. Their identities have not been released at this time.

The plane is registered in Texas, police said.

Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board representatives are investigating the crash.
