ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida students considering careers in music and the performing arts will have a chance to meet representatives from more than 50 colleges and universities at the 2026 Florida Music College Fair.
The free event is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 24, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Orlando Science Center.
Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras is hosting the fair in collaboration with the Florida State University College of Music and the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami.
Admissions panel returns
An admissions panel will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. inside the Orlando Science Center’s Digital Adventure Theater.
Representatives from several universities are expected to discuss the college admissions process, music auditions and what students can expect while preparing for careers in the arts.
Following the panel, attendees will be able to speak directly with representatives from more than 50 music and performing arts institutions.
Topics will include admissions, auditions, financial aid, student life and individual academic programs.
FSYO Executive Director Abigail Tran said the event is intended to make the music admissions process less intimidating for students and their families.
“Florida Music College Fair exists to help make the music admissions process less intimidating for students and families,” Tran said.
The event is open to Central Florida music students, counselors and educators.
Admission is free, but attendees are encouraged to register in advance.
