Gunman on the run in ORCO man's death

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County investigators said they connected a gunman on the run to a man's killing.

Investigators said Eduardo Viteri-Perez, 19, is armed, dangerous and on the run.

Authorities said he took a man's life Friday, and then disappeared.

Sheriff's investigators said during a news conference Thursday that Viteri-Perez gunned down Michael Ault Friday.

Ault and a friend went to an unoccupied house on Constantine Street to meet a group of men, and that is when Viteri-Perez shot Ault, authorities said.

Ault's friend wasn't hurt.

The men took off with some money.

"He has quite an extensive group of family and friends in and out of the state and even out of the country. So part of the reason - the main reason - for the press conference today is to try and generate information and leads from the community.  We're quite certain that a number of people do know where he is," said Cpl. Dave Nutting of the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

They're also searching for possible accomplices.

"Well the suspects are armed and extremely dangerous, and they have not come forward to turn themselves in.  They have made it clear they don’t want to be caught," Nutting said.

Investigators said Viteri-Perez has been in trouble with the law in the past.
